Welcome to Jun Kim’s Martial Arts Center After School Tae Kwon Do
for the 2007-2008 school year!

Important note:  We are not a Day Care.  Our Martial Arts After School Program teaches life skills through martial arts.  Our policies reflect an attention to detail and discipline that we teach to your children through Tae Kwon Do (TKD) training and other activities are our facility. 

When school begins you will receive information and forms to fill out. This preview packet will help answer questions you may have about our school. Our mission is to make a significant difference in the lives of young children.

By providing learning experiences, and opportunities designed to the development of your child. We encourage you to become partners with us in the education of your child in an atmosphere of mutual respect and cooperation.

School Pickup Schedule:

• 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Students are picked up from school

• 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. After School Program (TKD & Daily Activities)

• 12:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Early release days

• 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Days off (Drop off at JKMC required. Drop off hours 7:30am-9:00am)

NOTE: PICK UP TIME FROM JKMC IS 6:30 P.M. PLEASE BE ON TIME!

Late pick up fee is $20.00. No Exceptions!

Parents must sign out their children before pick up. Sign out sheet is located in the lobby area of JKMC.

Pick up time is at 6:30 p.m. if your child is NOT picked up promptly by 6:30 p.m. then there will be a late fee charge of $20.00 per hr. late. This fee will need to be paid at the time of pick up. BBC students can take a second class. If your child is only in Basic TKD Program, then they will need to be picked up no later than 6:30 or late fee will be applied! Parents must call JKMC to notify they will be late for pick up since we have to make special arrangements, late fees applies. Calling the JKMC to announce that you will be late will not release you from paying late charges. No exceptions. Your timeliness helps us provide a good example for our children.

Late pick up fee is $20.00. No Exceptions!

Classes are offered everyday Monday through Thursday. Fun Fridays are used for Field Trips or special activities only; no TKD class offered this day.

Required Uniform:

Complete uniform (top, pants, belt & patches) is mandatory for class everyday. Students are not allowed to take class without the proper uniform. * On Fridays, Early Release & Full Days is mandatory to wear JKMC T-Shirt.

Food and Drink:

-NO Plastic or Paper Bags-
Your child must have a snack, extra lunch, juice, and/or water in the evenings. We also have snacks for sale; your child may bring money daily. For full days, students must bring lunch and snack, please labeled lunch box. Snacks are parent’s responsibility. No refrigeration or microwave is available for safety purposes.

Absences:

It’s very important if your child is absent or picked up early from school please call JKMC from 7:00a.m to 12:00p.m. If nobody answers then please leave a message including your child’s name and school.

Please do not wait until last minute to call.

Calling JKMC is very important because we will show up to pick up the student, if the student is not there we will charge you for that day ($20.00) We are not affiliated to Broward County Schools; when you call them please call us too.

Payments:

Payments are due on FRIDAY preceding the week of attendance before 8:00 p.m. Payments also can be made any day of the week preceding the week of attendance.
Any payments received after Friday, $20.00 late fee will be added to the tuition for that week. All payments received by Monday are considered late.

Tae Kwon Do classes are included for all students that participate in full time After School Program.

There is a $25.00 service charge for any returned check and $15.00 service charge for each re-processed check.

No refunds or credit can be issued on equipment, uniforms, weapons, unused days and holidays for Tae Kwon Do After School Program.
In addition, we do not generate a payment history, so we advise that you keep all your receipts.

During the school year, weekly fees do not cover early release days and full day activities planned for that day. You will be informed of any activities planned for the day and/or additional fees if required.

If your child is sick and/or absent for a full or partial week, we will still charge 50% of the cost since the service provided is exclusive and by reservation only.

We will NOT stop or cancel your agreement until Jun Kim’s Martial Arts Center. receives the 15 days written notice. When the notice is received you will be notified as to the day your program will be cancelled.
….No Exceptions!

IMPORTANT:

3 days of attendance constitute a week, full week payment apply.
If a child is left behind at school, an additional charge of $30.00 applies if our JKMC school van has to return to the elementary school a second time for pick up.

We assume no responsibility of personal property:

Jun Kim’s Martial Arts Center does not assume any responsibility for the loss, damage or theft of any property belonging to the student. Please refer to your student agreement. Please write the child name on their belongings, including clothes and/or uniform, lunch boxes, etc...

Dismissal from JKMC After School Program

If your child is out for more than two weeks you will loose your place in the Tae Kwon Do After School Program, Winter Camp, Spring Break Camp or Summer Camp unless prior arrangements have been made in writing with JKMC .

Students that show up without the proper equipment or uniform more than once a week can be suspended and/or terminated from the After School Program. Parents must ensure that their children have all necessary items to participate everyday.
